Charlotte, NC - 9/27/07 - Tour kickoff!

Patricia G. - The Van Halen show was great. What energy! Wolfgang did a great job maybe by the end of the tour he will be sliding across the stage like his dad. Eddie is the best! Dave looked fit and did not disappoint. Alex was tireless on the drums for two hours...Thanks for getting back together guys. (I do agree Bobcats is not built for great concerts like this)

Eric B.Left my office in NYC at 1pm 9-27, was sitting at my desk at 9am 9-28, and had my world rocked in between.  The Bobcats Arena went BESERK with the opening chords of 'You Really Got Me'.  David waving a huge red flag on the stage that wrapped around and above Alex's kit, Eddie just tearing it up, and Alex and Wolfie doing what needed to be done.

I was right on the barrier at the center of the ring, and things looked good all around.  Eddie and David seemed to be very cool with each other,  Wolfie worked... I'd have preferred Michael, but Wolfie worked.  Actually, one of the highlights of the show was just seeing Eddie beaming with love, joy and pride as his son officially entered the family business.  He tossed the kid a kiss during one of their shared times on the mic doing back-up vocals, and later did a double knee slide and jammed at the kid's feet towards the end of 'Little Guitars'.

Phenomenal stuff all around.  And, I'd say that at least 1/4 of the crowd had travelled pretty far to see the innaugural show.  The folks next to me were from Atlanta, and I was talking to some people at dinner afterwards who came in from San Diego.  Same kind of stories with the bathroom chatter.  Well, I have to pretend that I'm working, so perhaps I'll send more later, but things were good... real good.

Tim P. - Just came back from charlotte just want to report is all that it's cracked up to be - Wolf played like a pro - e-thing was just fine was sharp 5150 amp is awsome -

Jennifer C. - Went to the show in Charlotte last night. Those guys are amazing. Wolfie did a great job too. Excellent show!

Greg B. - Went to Charlotte show last night.........WOW. These guys were sharp as nails, but the mix could have been better. Rock on Eddie !!

Mike D. - YES the show was awesome and worth every penny spent to see EDDIE,ALEX  and DAVE STILL ROCKING  like it was 1980 again.  WOLFIE played great never missed a beat and was having the time of his live, just like a 16 year old should. I will say the only down fall to the show I wish WOLFIE would have played a solo. I'd love to hear the kid rip some chords. All in all would pay the money again, again and again to see VANHALEN 2007 TOUR. ROCK ON GUYS ROCK ON.

Jay K. - The concert was amazing! Van Halen made a great opening, and never stopped excitment throughout the entire show. I was in upper deck, but still had an amazing time. I hope they go on tour again!

Sherry G. - We absolutely hated the Van Halen concert! We were so far away from the stage we could not see the band nor the big screen behind them because of equipment hanging down from the ceiling obstructing our view. The music (I guess that was what we were hearing) was so muffled and distorted, that we didn't know what the first 3 songs were, that they played? And we have been listening to Van Halen for the last 25 years! I wished now, that I didn't waste the $125.00 spent on just the 2 tickets (plus Ticket Master's service charge and online fees)! The Charlotte Bobcats Arena is not a good choice for concerts. I would not go to another concert there!

Marty D. - What a great concert! I really liked that they did not try to re-write old songs. They kept them the same as if you were listening to the cd itself or maybe i should say cassette or maybe 8-track. I traveled several hours from Charleston,SC and the Charlotte opener was well worth it. Great variety in ages at the concert with me being in my mid-30's I was the younger crowd. I just wonder where all of the "Hot" women were? Not at this concert. I hope my wife doesn't read this!!!

Brian K. - I drove up from Tampa,Fl. The show was worth the trip. Eddie was excellent and looked like a proud father watching his son, Wolfie perform. David sounded like he did back in the old days. And Alex was great, he still rocks the drums .

David S. - I was at the Charlotte show and they were excellent. Dave sounded better than I have heard him in a long time. Eddie still plays guitar better than most. Alex was steady as always. Wolfgang was great. Imagine being 16 years old playing in front of 18,000 people.  I am ready for some new VH music. Hopefully Dave's promise of an upcoming CD will happen.

Rob T. - I attended the show at bobcat arena and i have to say the show absolutely rocked. van halen played like it hasn't been over twenty yrs since david lee roth belted out the vocals. the atmosphere was sheer electricity. my voice was horse for two days after the show from screaming n singing along!!!!!! THANK YOU VAN HALEN!!!! YOU GUYS ARE WHAT ROCK N ROLL IS ALL ABOUT!!!
